Vok battery uses power to maintain its safety functions at all times. This means periodic charging is needed even when batteries haven’t been actively used. Keeping the battery charged within normal range is the sole responsibility of the user. Failure to charge the battery before it falls into undervoltage damages the battery permanently and voids warranty.
The following is an example of charging requirements represented by battery percentage vs standby time. Actual results may vary depending on storage conditions, battery age, use cycles, 4G connectivity.
Always check the battery level after the ride and schedule to charge it accordingly:
- 0…15% – Charge immediately after use to avoid permanent damage
- 15…25% – Charge within a week to avoid permanent damage
- 25…40% – Charge within a month to avoid permanent damage
- 40…100% – Charge within 3 months to avoid permanent damage
The battery compartment of Vok has the capacity for 2 batteries, but the bike is still fully functional with a single battery (with reduced range).
Only use the original Vok specific batteries supplied by the manufacturer! There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with anything else than a genuine Vok Bikes battery!
