Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity of the bike, and for the safety of the drivers and fellow road users.
Do not modify or tune your bike. There is a risk of an accident if you do so. Note also that modifications will void the warranty and may render the bike no longer approved for use on public roads.
Do not manipulate the electric management system of the bike. Risk of electric shock!
Do not perform any maintenance work on your bike unless you feel absolutely sure about it. If you have any doubts or questions, contact Vok Bikes directly.
Maintenance schedules
Frequently* | Periodically** | As needed***
Cleaning (8.) | |||||
Pre-ride inspection (5.3)
Maintenance checklist (9.4)
Unscheduled repairs (9.5) |
* Depending on the frequency of use, pre-ride inspections must be carried out in conjunction with cleaning operations.
** Depending on the use case, weight of the cargo, road conditions and riding style, periodical maintenance checklist must be carried out in conjunction with cleaning operations and a pre-ride inspection.
*** Should a problem appear between the periodical maintenance, the repairs must be performed immediately! In addition, a maintenance checklist in conjunction with cleaning operations must also be conducted to assess the overall condition of the bike and determine if additional repair jobs are needed. Following the maintenance operations, a pre-ride inspection must always be performed.
General maintenance guidelines
All maintenance operations conducted on the bike and the spare parts changed, must be documented in the maintenance journal of the bike (physical or digital via fleet management platform).
All inspection and maintenance operations must be performed in a well-lit area.
Before performing any maintenance work on the bike, switch off the ignition and disconnect the battery.
Park the vehicle on a level surface and jack it up from the edge(s) of the bottom frame. Do not jack from the middle of the bottom plate as this may damage the battery compartment!
Make sure that the vehicle is stable. Entrapment hazards may occur!
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment when performing maintenance works!
After all maintenance work is performed, take the vehicle for a test ride in a traffic-free area and perform a pre-ride inspection (see link).
