Vok Bikes has joined the Estonian Mafia Wall of Fame as its 33rd company. The wall recognises Estonia’s most successful startups, and one or two companies are added to it each year. The previous joiner was fintech startup Montonio in September 2025.
Until now, any company could put itself forward. This year the approach changed. « At the start of this year we decided to change our approach and start spotting successful, fast-growing Estonian startups ourselves and inviting them onto the Wall of Fame, » said Johanna-Maria Värgården of Lift99.
« Vok Bikes stood out to us above all for its strong international growth and its ambition. In 2025 the company raised a €6 million Series A and signed a manufacturing partnership with Renault Group in France. Public sources also show that its revenue has grown very quickly over the past few years. »
Alongside advancing green city logistics across Europe, Vok’s impact is visible in Tallinn. « Vok cargo bikes carry Omniva parcels around the city, for example. It matters to us to support companies whose growth brings a positive effect on the environment we live in. Wider use of cargo bikes in city logistics helps reduce car traffic, emissions and pressure on the urban environment, » Värgården added.
Vok Bikes was founded in Tallinn in 2019 by three engineers: Indrek Petjärv, Siim Starke and Riho Koop. They had spent six years building racing cars and electric scooters, and had reached the conclusion that no existing micro-mobility vehicle was durable or capable enough for commercial use, while moving cargo by van is increasingly inefficient. Today the company has customers in 14 European countries, among them UK logistics giant Evri, Estonian postal operator Omniva, international platform Wolt, and public sector operators such as the City of London.

« Our journey started five years ago from a fairly simple hypothesis: the vehicles used for urban freight today are highly inefficient and expensive for the job they do. The cargo bike is not a new concept. What makes it new is the technological innovation that allows a (Vok) cargo bike to be used successfully for commercial purposes – a vehicle that is durable and capable, runs in any weather, and keeps running costs sensible. Back then I wouldn’t have believed that five years on we would be serving some of the world’s largest companies, such as Veolia, McDonald’s and DoorDash, with Amazon parcel deliveries joining this autumn. Thank you to our investors, who were bold enough to invest in hardware and believed that the bicycle could indeed be reinvented. »
